A new initiative brought together by local non-profit, Brook Kerith. Our concept is to continue a long history of the buildings at 510 West University in a new form. A space for non-profit organizations to operate and serve local citizens as well as a community space for health and wellness, arts, culture, and entertainment.
Even in a community as prosperous as our own, residents can find themselves in need. Groups with service in their hearts spend countless hours working to provide food, clothing, as well as mental and emotional support for people in crisis. These organizations must be mindful of every dollar spent. Finding space to operate in can be difficult when rents are high. Using this existing structure, that has served the area for generations, we can make space available while keeping monthly operating costs low.
Since forming the idea of revitalizing this building, a number of non-profit groups have met with us and are anxious to establish a base of operations within these walls. Among them are:
