Part of Rochester since 1847

A landmark worth saving

The Harrison property at 501 W. University Drive has been part of Rochester’s history since 1847. Rochester Community Schools is currently considering three proposals for its sale.

Only the Harrison Community Resource Center proposal would preserve this historic building. The other two call for demolition and residential development.

Our vision is to preserve the building and give it a renewed purpose as a welcoming home for nonprofit organizations and supportive services. Together, we can continue its legacy as a place that brings people together and serves our community for generations to come.
